Plickers=Paper Clicker

I cannot tell you how much I LOVE Plickers. I use it daily in FIRST grade. I know a lot of teachers think things like this cannot be used in the younger grades but they can, so easily. I was asked to do a presentation today during my school's inservice day on Plickers. The administration loves this tool and the faculty was so excited to learn to use it.

 Sooo....back on track. Plickers is simply a paper clicker. It is so easy to use. Each student has a card with a code on it that looks similar to a QR code.

Each corner of the card will have either an A, B, C, or D. This is how they answer. They will need to show you their answer with the correct answer on top. For Kinder, I would write the letters on the back of the card as well.

 First things first, sign up online at Plickers.com for an account. Next, download the app on your smartphone. You will need to add your class and then print a card for each student in your classroom. Insert the questions you'd like to ask your students. You will need your phone and computer/SmartBoard/projector. You simply login to the site. Make sure it's on Live View. On your telephone, select your class and the question you'd like to ask. It will then be projected onto the board. Once the student has their answer they will hold their card up. You will scan all of the cards by touching the camera button in the app.

 Easy. Simple. Assessment.

 Attached is my handouts that I gave during my presentation.
 I hope you find them useful!

 Now, onto enjoy my last weekend. :/
