Ahh the weekend is OVER!

Best weekend I've had in a long time! My husband is in the military AND a police officer so the rare occasions that we have a weekend off together we pack it full of awesome. He decided to redo our guest room so that has kept us super busy but it turned out awesome.

Here is a little sneak peek. :)

This week will be an interesting week for us in first grade. Our CKLA lessons for this week has us teaching writing all week during our reading block. 60 minutes of writing daily in first grade is A LOT. BUT in Science we are doing Magnetism. One of my favorites. My husband as we speak is making my electromagnet.

I hope everyone has a wonderful week!

President's Day (FREEBIE)!

I am OFF Monday and Tuesday...yes! It's been a long week. Yesterday was our Valentine exchange, Mardi Gras Parade at school AND crazy hair day. It was a very crazy day. I could use those two days off.

Anyway, when we go back on Wednesday we will be studying Presidents for the remainder of the week. So, I made some cute little applications for my littles to complete. I think I'll bind them into a class book.

Here is your copy if you'd like to use it too!

Have a great weekend!

A peek at my week (freebies) :)

Hi, guys!

This week I'm trying to get my thoughts together for Mardi Gras Math Night next week.  I like to make a packet for parents with printables of little games they can play at home with their child. I download the games from Games 4 Learning. They have the BEST games. My students love them.

I put together a few ideas of things I could let the kids do for our hallway. I like to have something Mardi Gras related hanging up. Check below for the freebie.

In Science this week we are learning all about energy sources and I'm attaching the quick packet I put together!

I hope everyone has a great week!

Symbaloo

I have discovered the greatest thing ever. How have I not heard about this site? I have a ring of cards I keep on my student computers so that they can choose which site they visit during computer center. It's a big headache. They CANNOT type in their web address alone and so I spend too much valuable time getting the computers where they want them OR I just put it where I want it. No more. Introducing. Symbaloo. I have created a homepage that I set all of my computers to. Now they can choose where they go WITHOUT typing it in. Just click.

Was that too many caps?  I'm just so excited!

Everyone go try it out now,

That is all. :)

Have a great week!
